300 hp Dyno Test Stand – Sachs Automotive, Troy, MI
LabVIEW controlled dynamometer that tests torque converters. This program automatically runs a series of speed and torque parameters while measuring various temperature, flow and torque from a test stand and outputs a test report based on the performance of the specimen under test. The program features a lookup table in which the operator selects the model under test. From this database the parameters of the test are automatically fed into the program and the test runs through predetermined series of speed ramping runs. The program also stores and prints the results, parameters and operator fed information for future reference.
The major interfaces were involved in this design:
2 Hydraulic Servo controllers
Strain Gage Measurement (Pressure and Torque) Valve control (AC Switching)
Thermocouples
Oil Cooling Control
Large Motor Control
Data Logging for Model Testing
Data archiving and automatic report generation. Printing and plotting
